The Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities at Bindura University of Science Education comprises the following Departments:

We invite qualified and experienced individuals to apply for the full-time position of Executive Dean. The initial appointment is for a four-year term. Reporting directly to the Vice-Chancellor, the Executive Dean will serve as a key member of the University's Senior Administrative team.
As the Chief Academic, Administrative, and Financial Officer of the Faculty, the Executive Dean will be responsible for:
-Leadership in research and academic initiatives
-Administration and management of the Faculty
-Community outreach
-Income generation and financial management
The successful candidate is expected to demonstrate innovative thinking and contribute to the industrialization agenda within the scope of their responsibilities. A track record of achievement in the mentioned areas is highly desirable.
Ideal candidates should possess academic and/or professional qualifications from an approved institution, preferably holding a Doctorate Degree in one of the disciplines offered by the Faculty. Candidates should be at least at the Senior Lecturer Grade or have credentials qualifying them for appointment at that level.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Executive Dean will be responsible for:
-Oversight of the academic programs and teaching quality
-Direction, control, and management of staff, property, equipment, and finances
-Contribution to the development and maintenance of a conducive learning environment
-Coordination of research and curriculum innovations
-Alignment with the heritage-based Education 5.0 philosophy and the NDS1 or existing government economic policy
-Collaboration with other faculties, agencies, and entities to advance programs and projects
-Performance of other functions as prescribed by the Vice-Chancellor
