Applications are invited for the position of Executive Dean, a full-time leadership role with an initial term of four years. Reporting to the Vice-Chancellor, the Executive Dean will serve as a vital member of the Senior Administrative team.
Duties and Responsibilities
As the Chief Academic, Administrative, and Financial Officer of the Faculty, the Executive Dean will be responsible for: -Leadership in research and academic initiatives -Administration and management of the Faculty -Community outreach -Income generation and financial management -The successful candidate should demonstrate the ability to lead in innovation and industrialization within their role, with a proven track record of achievements in these areas.
The Executive Dean, as the Chief Academic, Quality Assurance, Administrative, and Financial Officer of the Faculty, shall be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for: -The character and quality of the faculty’s academic programs and teaching -The proper direction, control, and management of staff, property, equipment, and finances -Contributing to the evolution and maintenance of an environment conducive to learning at the University -Coordinating the implementation of research and curriculum innovations -Aligning the Faculty with the heritage-based Education 5.0 philosophy and the NDS1 or existing government economic policy -Cooperating with other faculties, agencies, and entities to further the programs and projects of the faculty -Performing other functions as prescribed by the Vice-Chancellor Note: Female candidates are encouraged to apply.
Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications and Experiences: -The ideal candidate should possess academic and/or professional qualifications from an approved institution, preferably holding a Doctorate Degree in one of the disciplines offered by the Faculty. -Candidates should be at least at the Senior Lecturer Grade or possess credentials qualifying them for appointment at that level.
