The Role

Oxfam in Southern Africa is looking for Enumerators who will work closely with the MEAL Officer to collect all the required data from Mberengwa district for the GAC project.

Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Under the overall supervision of the MEAL Officer, the Enumerators will be responsible for performance of the following duties:

Support assessments and data collection in the field.
Data entry and experience with Excel
Undertake registration of all beneficiaries with their alternate family members into mobile application systems such as KOBO/ODK/Survey CTO.
Daily cleaning and uploading the data on to tablets.
He/She will be responsible for organizing and maintaining the data and survey equipment in a safe and secure manner until it can be returned to the MEAL Officer.
Safeguard the confidentiality and privacy of the collected information.
Administer a minimum prescribed number of questionaries per day.
Facilitate and verification of the participatory processes of village vulnerability ranking.
Work closely with the field teams/community groups to verify data collected from the field.
Complete beneficiary registration with other Oxfam team members
Support organisation of and arrangements for food distributions
Support post-distribution monitoring activities.
Support and assist the EFSVL and MEAL programme officer to ensure Oxfam system and minimum standards as well as the administrative functions of operation are adequately undertaken.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience

An Ideal Candidate For The Role Will Also Be

Post A Level educational qualification (university education desired)
Strong verbal and written communication skills including report writing
Team working skills and ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
Basic understanding of technology such as mobile phones and computers
Expertise to enter, transcribe, record, maintain data/ information in written or electronic forms (previous experience in enumeration preferred)
Sympathy with the aims and objectives of Oxfam
Familiarity and commitment to humanitarian principles: core Humanitarian Standard, SPHERE principles and Oxfam International procedures and other regulatory codes
Should be based in Mberengwa District
Basic working knowledge of English and local languages.
