Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Data Collection:
-Conducting data collection through various methods, including one-on-one interviews and focus group discussions (FDGs) using an electronic data collection tool designed by the MERL Officer.
-Adhering to sampling methods directed by the MERL Officer.

2. Data Compilation and Entry:
-Compiling, recording, and coding information from specified forms into a predefined database.
-Ensuring accuracy in survey forms and information pads.

3. Communication and Reporting:
-Keeping the Assistant MERL Officer informed of completed assignments and overall progress.
-Identifying and reporting any issues encountered during data collection.

4. Authenticity and Quality Assurance:
-Analyzing the authenticity of information provided by establishing direct contact with the targeted study population.
-Interpreting interview questions to assist respondents and ensure clear, eloquent answers.
-Double-checking information to ensure data accuracy.

5. Data Entry and Debriefing:
-Engaging in data entry, especially in cases where paper-based options are utilized.
-Participating in debriefing sessions to share field experiences and insights about the community and the overall data collection process.

6. Ethics and Compliance:
-Complying with quality and research ethics during fieldwork, including data protection and maintaining confidentiality of respondents or target project participants.
-Ensuring data protection for all program documents.

7Cross-Cutting Issues:
-Ensuring the protection of cross-cutting issues at all stages of program implementation.
