Mukuru, a dynamic organization committed to unlocking its full potential, is currently seeking a dedicated individual to join as an Employee and Labour Relations Specialist. The ideal candidate should be a proactive problem solver with strong conflict resolution skills, a quick decision-maker, and someone who can champion a culture of teamwork and respect within the workplace.
Employee Relations Support/Advising:
-Contribute to the development of employee relations tactical plans.
-Implement plans aligning with employment and labour legislation in each corridor.
-Ensure compliance with legal provisions in policies, documentation, reports, and training.
-Plan and execute employee relations projects and programs.
-Provide guidance and support to employees and leaders according to relevant legislation.
-Collaborate on reviewing and enhancing People policies to align with labour legislation.
-Organize training sessions on employment and labour legislation for employees and managers.
-Partner with internal stakeholders and external legal advisors when necessary.
Dispute Resolution and Disciplinary Processes:
-Advise and support the Head of PBP and relevant PBP on employment policy and process.
-Manage and resolve employee disputes and grievances promptly.
-Prepare thorough investigation reports in compliance with employment and labour legislation.
-Maintain detailed records of disciplinary and dispute resolution processes.
-Track, monitor, and report on employee and labour relations matters.
-Provide trends analysis and suggestions for improvement.
-Oversee disciplinary procedures ensuring adherence to employment and labour laws.
-Handle disputes, legal claims, and litigation matters.
Professional Development:
-Manage own time and deliver in accordance with agreed outcomes.
-Adhere to performance enablement processes and attend required training.
-Maintain and improve knowledge of relevant legislation impacting the role.
-Share knowledge with the team to enhance the effectiveness of employee relations service.
-Ensure effective collaboration across the Human Capital team.

-Grade 12 or equivalent.
-Relevant Human Resources Degree with specialization in Employment and Labour Law or Equivalent.
-LLB will be highly advantageous.
-7 years’ Employee & Labour Relations experience (Essential).
-5 years’ experience working in a multi-national, across African, and EU organization.
-Essential Job-Related Knowledge and Skills.
