ELECTROMECHANICAL ENGINEER
Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities -Install, commission, operate and maintain electromechanical mining and processing equipment. -Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and electromechanical faults. -Maintain motors, pumps, conveyors, crushers, screens, compressors and related equipment. -Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programmes. -Conduct equipment inspections and identify potential failures. -Support installation and commissioning of new mining and processing machinery. -Interpret mechanical drawings, electrical diagrams and equipment manuals. -Coordinate mechanical and electrical maintenance teams. -Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements. -Provide technical guidance and mentorship to technicians and local engineering personnel. -Maintain equipment maintenance records and technical reports. -Promote safe and efficient operation of mining equipment.
Qualifications and Experience
-Bachelor’s Degree in Electromechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field. -Relevant industrial, mining or mineral-processing experience will be an advantage. -Practical experience with industrial machinery, motors, pumps, conveyors and automated equipment. -Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. -Ability to work in a demanding mining environment. -Good technical documentation and problem-solving skills.
