VACANCY: DRIVER (GRADE 5). Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the above vacant post that have arisen within Mwenezi Rural District Council.
Duties and Responsibilities
a. To drive council vehicles on approved journeys. b. To ensure that the vehicle is periodically serviced as stipulated. c. To promptly report on any fault on the vehicle. d. To operate a back hoe loader and any other plant equipment. e. To compile the log book whenever the vehicle is in use. f. To undertake any relevant/lawful duties assigned by the EO Technical services. g. Keeping the company vehicle clean and properly maintained by performing regular washing, cleaning and maintenance of the vehicle.
Qualifications and Experience
1. Proven working experience of 3 years as a Driver. 2. Knowledge of operating a back hoe loader and other earth moving equipment a must. 3. A clean valid class 2 Drivers license and a certificate in earth moving equipment. 4. Valid defensive driver’s license certificate and a medical certificate. 5. Availability to occasionally take weekends and night shifts. 6. The ideal candidate should be between 20 to 35 years of age. 7. Effective communication skills.
