Job Description
A local mining company is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Driver. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing safe, reliable and efficient transportation services in support of the company's mining operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Transport company employees, visitors, materials and equipment as assigned.
- Operate company vehicles safely and in accordance with road traffic regulations.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after each trip.
- Report mechanical faults, accidents, damage and other vehicle-related problems promptly.
- Ensure vehicles are kept clean, roadworthy and properly maintained.
- Maintain accurate trip logs, fuel records and vehicle inspection checklists.
- Follow company safety procedures and mining-site traffic regulations.
- Ensure that all required vehicle documents are valid and up to date.
- Report to the supervisor regarding daily assignments and completed trips.
- Observe occupational health and safety requirements at all times.

Qualifications and Experience

- At least a secondary school education.
- A valid driver's class 2 and class 4 licence appropriate for the type of vehicle to be operated.
- Previous driving experience; experience in the mining or industrial sector would be an advantage.
- Good knowledge of road safety and vehicle maintenance procedures.
- Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively.
- Honest, reliable, punctual and safety-conscious.
- Willingness to work according to operational requirements.
