Zim-TTECH is actively seeking highly qualified and experienced individuals for the role of DREAMS Program Nurse within the DREAMS program. Three positions are available, with one each for Seke, Nkayi, and Lupane. Zim-TTECH primarily engages in activities related to health system strengthening, epidemiology, strategic information strengthening, health workforce development, operations research and evaluation, and prevention, care, and treatment of infectious diseases.
-Provide Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Health (ASRH)-friendly and HIV prevention clinical services at health facilities.
-Maintain a clinical services presence through profiling, active screening, and providing services to partners of Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYW) at the community level.
-Screen and enroll AGYWs, including pregnant and young mothers, visiting health facilities.
-Offer adolescent health literacy to facilitate informed decision-making for the provision of quality youth-friendly services.
-Refer AGYWs for subsequent interventions by DREAMS Implementing Partners (IPs) in the district.
-Keep detailed village-level data for data-driven clinical services provision, monitoring, and tracking.
-Utilize Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) and additional DREAMS-specific data-capturing tools consistently.
-Assist in any training or activities supported by Zim-TTECH and/or MoHCC.
-Advocate for a conducive environment for patient care and provider development.
-Identify gaps at health facilities to inform the development of youth-friendly adolescent clinics.
-Attend health facility and community meetings.
-Prepare and submit monthly progress reports to the DREAMS Team Lead and Program Coordinator, sharing program challenges, best practices, and recommendations.
-Review and approve performance appraisals, timesheets, claims, and travel requests for volunteers, including DREAMS Ambassadors.
-Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
-General Nurse registered with the Zimbabwe Nurses Council.
-Valid Rapid HIV testing certificate; LIVES training is an added advantage.
-Minimum one year of experience in primary health care, especially antenatal care service provision and/or contraceptive services.
-Computer proficiency and familiarity with various software applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
