We are inviting applications for the role of District Strategic Information Officer within the HIV Care and Treatment program. The opportunity is available in Nkayi, with Zim-TTECH focusing on health system strengthening, epidemiology, strategic information strengthening, health workforce development, operations research and evaluation, and prevention, care, and treatment of infectious diseases.
-Ensure accurate and timely completion of all registers, with regular and consistent submission of reports.
-Support the collection and reporting of clinical processes and outcomes, including MER data on program-specific indicators on a weekly and monthly basis.
-Conduct routine data quality audits at health facilities in collaboration with DSICLFPs, Provincial Focal Persons, and Facility Data Collation Focal Persons.
-Clean, verify, and validate data entered into electronic systems, addressing inconsistencies before syncing to the server.
-Provide technical support to healthcare workers, enhancing the use of Electronic Systems in monitoring HIV and TB programs.
-Collaborate with provincial and district teams for site management, compiling and consolidating reports on program activities, ensuring timely and complete reporting in DHIS2.
-Conduct routine analyses and visualization of program data in Power BI, facilitating evidence-based programming at the District level.
-Coordinate onsite-data-verification (OSDV) to monitor data quality.
-Lead and coordinate data-related Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) projects in supported facilities.
-Track performance against annual targets, reviewing district and facility-level performance, and developing improvement plans for underperforming facilities.
-Provide feedback to district health authorities based on evidence collected and ensure their involvement in strategy formulation.
-Analyze and write district weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual programmatic performance reports for timely submission.
-Attend district coordination and review meetings, facilitating the interpretation and use of M&E data.
-Ensure proper maintenance and management of mobile devices at designated facilities.
-Collaborate with MoHCC, Zim-TTECH consortium partners, and other implementing partners to track and report challenges and outcomes of various interventions.
-Bachelor’s degree in Biostatistics, Mathematics, Public Health, Health Promotion, or a related field.
-Minimum of 3 years of experience in managing, analyzing, and reporting health-related program data, including experience with DHIS2 data.
-Advanced skills in MS Excel, including pivot-tables, formatting, statistical functions, and formulas, with a good understanding of MS Word and PowerPoint.
-Strong quantitative data analysis skills, proficiency in at least one statistical software package (STATA, SAS, or SPSS) is an advantage.
-Excellent interpersonal, report writing, and presentation skills in English, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
-Experience in working with MoHCC or health-related implementing partners and a solid understanding of the Zimbabwe healthcare system structures.
