Zimbabwe Red Cross Society is seeking experienced individuals to fill the role of District Field Officer for an IFRC-Emergency Appeal project. The project aims to prevent the spread and elimination of Cholera in Manicaland Province (Mutare and Buhera).
-Directly implement activities defined in the program in collaboration with the Project Coordinator.
-Collaborate with community committees to identify and select the most vulnerable population, ensuring accountability, fairness, and transparency during activity implementation.
-Work closely with community structures to follow up on the implementation of planned community activities.
-Participate in the training and education of beneficiaries as per project requirements.
-Facilitate the provision of technical advice for activity implementation.
-Collect necessary information in the field to facilitate project follow-up with the support of the Project Coordinator.
-Facilitate the evaluation of the project in the field as required.
Requirements:
-Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Disaster Management, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or a related field from a recognized institution of learning.
-Experience: 2 years of relevant experience in community development focusing on public health, project monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning.
-The incumbent must demonstrate experience in working with communities.
-Familiarity with using data collection tools (ODK, KoBo, Excel).
-Skills in conducting training and other capacity-building activities.
