Yellow River Company Limited is a state-owned Chinese enterprise involved in large-scale infrastructure development, mining operations, engineering projects, industrial investment, and international business management. The company is seeking a highly experienced and results-driven professional to fill the position of Director.

Duties and Responsibilities

-Providing strategic leadership and direction for the company’s operations and long-term growth.
-Managing and supervising major engineering, mining, construction, and investment projects.
-Developing and implementing corporate policies, operational systems, and business strategies.
-Coordinating project planning, budgeting, and execution to ensure efficiency and profitability.
-Managing relationships with government authorities, regulatory bodies, clients, and international partners.
-Overseeing compliance with Zimbabwean laws, safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
-Supervising departmental managers and ensuring effective workforce management.
-Leading negotiations for contracts, partnerships, procurement, and investment opportunities.
-Monitoring financial performance, project progress, and operational risks.
-Facilitating technology transfer, technical training, and implementation of advanced industrial systems.
-Preparing operational reports and presenting strategic recommendations to shareholders and senior management.
-Ensuring high standards of productivity, quality control, and corporate governance.

Qualifications and Experience

-A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, Mining, Industrial Management, or a related field.
-A Master’s Degree or professional management qualification will be an added advantage.
-Minimum of 10 years’ senior management experience in construction, mining, engineering, infrastructure development, or industrial operations.
-Proven experience in managing large-scale international or state-owned enterprise projects.
-Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
-Excellent financial management and strategic planning skills.
-Ability to coordinate multicultural teams and international operations.
-Strong knowledge of industrial systems, project execution, and operational management.
-Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
-Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple high-level projects simultaneously.
-Proficiency in English; knowledge of Chinese language and Chinese corporate systems will be an added advantage.
-Strong understanding of occupational safety, environmental compliance, and corporate governance standards.
