Job Purpose Responsible for the maintenance and repair of diesel & Petrol powered vehicles.
Duties and Responsibilities
a) Running diagnostic tests on vehicles. b) Analysing diagnostic test results. c) Replacing vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions, and braking systems. d) Checking vehicle lighting systems. e) Test driving vehicles to gauge performance. f) Performing preventative maintenance on service trucks. g) Maintaining detailed records of serviced vehicles. h) Adhering to an inspection procedure checklist.
Qualifications and Experience
a) Motor Mechanic qualification / apprenticeships. b) Trade tested in diesel & Petrol mechanics. c) Must have minimum of 5 years’ experience in performing as a diesel & Petrol mechanic. d) Valid drivers’ licence. e) Safety Oriented. f) Physically fit to perform daily tasks (standing for long hours, reaching, bending, lifting).
