2. Diesel Mechanic
Duties and Responsibilities
-Diagnose, service, and repair diesel-powered vehicles, machinery, and equipment. -Conduct routine maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, and inspections. -Troubleshoot and repair generator systems and related diesel equipment. -Keep accurate maintenance records and prepare service reports. -Test and adjust repaired systems to ensure proper functioning. -Adhere to health and safety regulations in all mechanical operations.
Qualifications and Experience
-Class 1 Apprentice trained. -At least 2 years post-apprenticeship experience. -Clean driver’s licence. -Knowledge of diesel electric generators is an advantage.
