Deputy Director – Professional Development (1 Post)
Developing, implementing and managing comprehensive training programmes that supports the University’s strategic plan, mission, and goals
Developing and monitoring annual training budgets
Developing annual training calendars
Working collaboratively with academic and administrative departments on training needs analysis
Coordinating physical and online management development programmes
Ensuring comprehensive orientation and induction of new staff members
Ensuring continuous professional development of staff members in the university
Providing guidance to faculties and departments on training and development issues
Collaborate with external stakeholders on staff development programmes
Playing an advisoral role to the top management on employee professional development issues
Performing any other duties related to employee professional development as may be assigned from time to time by the Executive Director – Quality Assurance and Professional Development.

An earned Doctoral degree preferably in Education
A professional qualification in teaching or training a pre-requisite
Have experience in pedagogical teaching and learning
At least two (2) years managerial experience in an institution of higher learning environment (e.g. Chairperson of a department)
Experience in research (consonant with the level of appointment).
Experience in developing and implementing training programmes.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong presentation, interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of stakeholders.
Experience in managing a team of professionals.
