MSU NATIONAL LANGUAGE INSTITUTE
Deputy Director – (1 Post)
Assisting the Executive Director in fulfilling the University’s strategic plan, mission and goals;
Developing annual project calendars;
Working collaboratively with academics and stakeholders in relevant ministries;
Coordinating physical and online language development programmes;
Ensuring comprehensive orientation and induction of new language researchers and assistants;
Ensuring continuous academic development of staff members in the Institute;
Performing any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Executive Director – MSU National Language Institute;
Acting in the absence of the Executive Director
A Bachelors, Masters and an earned Doctoral degree in African Languages or Language Education;
Experience in research and innovation in language projects, language planning and revitalisation;
Experience in designing phonetic charts and orthographies for underdeveloped languages;
Instructional material development skills;
Experience in soliciting for funding and managing human and financial resources;
At least 5 relevant peer reviewed publications.
