-Provide academic leadership in teaching, learning, research, innovation, and industrialization.
-Position the Faculty within the national higher education policy in line with Education 5.0.
-Plan, develop, renew, and change academic programs to ensure meaningful academic outcomes, quality, effectiveness, and financial viability.
-Participate in the formulation, implementation, and evaluation of the University's academic policies.
-Establish structures to ensure ethical and accountable research in the Faculty, leading to prototypes, patents, and copyrights in line with the University's research, innovation, and industrialization policy.
-Foster a culture of innovation and industrialization in the Faculty.
-Mobilize resources for the Faculty and University.
-Market the Faculty nationally, regionally, and internationally.
-Create and maintain linkages and relationships with external stakeholders, including Industry and Commerce, professional boards, consultancies, for the benefit of students, staff, and the University as a whole.
-Foster and maintain sound personal and professional relationships among staff, clients, and stakeholders.
Conditions of Service:

-Academic and/or professional qualifications from a recognized institution, preferably to the level of a Doctorate Degree in Environmental Engineering, Mining Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related field.
-Professorship in Environmental Engineering, Mining Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related field would be an added advantage.
Experience and Qualities:
-At least five (5) years of post-qualification experience in an institution of Higher Learning, with a minimum of two (2) years as a Chairperson in an academic department.
-Ability to introduce and supervise the implementation of Education 5.0 programs.
-Capability to enhance the University by increasing student enrollment in Faculty programs.
-Strong academic leadership skills.
-Excellent communication and organizational skills.
-Ability to fundraise and mobilize resources.
-Practical innovation skills.
-Analytical and critical thinking skills.
-Ability to motivate and mentor staff and students.
-Good team player.
