Duties and Responsibilities

-Develop, implement and maintain data protection policies, procedures and controls.
-Monitor compliance with applicable data protection legislation and regulatory requirements.
-Maintain records of personal data processing activities.
-Conduct data protection impact assessments and advise management on privacy risks.
-Manage data subject requests and ensure timely responses.
-Coordinate data protection awareness and training for employees.
-Monitor data breaches and coordinate appropriate response and reporting.
-Conduct periodic compliance reviews and recommend corrective measures.
-Liaise with regulatory authorities and relevant stakeholders where required.

Qualifications and Experience

-Degree in Law, Information Technology, Compliance, Risk Management, Business Administration or a related field.
-Professional qualification or certification in Data Protection/Privacy will be an added advantage.
-At least 3 years' relevant experience in data protection, compliance, risk or a related field.
-Good understanding of Zimbabwe's data protection and privacy requirements.
-Strong analytical, communication and report-writing skills.
-High level of integrity, confidentiality and attention to detail.
