Position Overview:
As a hydraulic & mechanical engineer, you will be responsible for assessing the water flow patterns and its effects on turbines for a hydro power plant.
Here are some key duties:
-Hydrological Analysis: Conducting studies to understand water flow patterns and behavior around the dam.
-Design Hydraulic Systems: These engineers create systems involving fluids, such as pumps, valves, pipelines, and hydraulic machinery.
-Analyze Fluid Flow: They study how liquids move through systems to improve efficiency, safety, and functionality.
-Preparing Reports: Documenting design plans, calculations, and regulatory compliance for approval.
-Collaboration: Working with other engineers, environmental scientists, and stakeholders to integrate drainage systems into broader infrastructure projects.
-Professional Experience: Several years of experience in nto fluid dynamics and water resource management.
-Technical Skills: Proficiency in drainage design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, HydroCAD, or similar tools.
-Project Management: Strong project management skills to oversee projects from planning to completion.
-Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports and collaborating with stakeholders.
-Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with local, state, and federal drainage regulations and standards.
-Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex drainage issues.
-Certifications: Relevant certifications, such as those from professional engineering organizations, can be beneficial.
-Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Hydraulic engineering or a related field. -A -Master’s degree or additional certifications in civil, mechanical or engineering is highly desirable.
-Minimum 4 years of experience in Civil/mechanical engineering , with a strong focus on Power plants applications
