Duties Reporting to the General Manager, the successful candidate will be in charge of catering and / or liquor stores of the Hotel, maintain a close and critical monitor on Par Stocks, recording all items received on the bin cards, checking and ensuring that all meat entering the freezers has a meat tag attached to it, ensuring that stores and freezers are kept clean all times, carry out periodic spot check, liaising with the kitchen in connection with perishables, reporting on all items that are running low and liaising with the purchasing department, carry out monthly stock takes, being responsible for all stock in the stores and the proper handling of equipment, carry out any other duties as may be assigned which will enhance the performance of the stores departments, insure maximum safekeeping of goods in stock.
Qualifications and Experience
Person Specification The candidate must have at least 5 Ordinary Level passes including English Language and Mathematics, a degree in Supply Chain Management / Accounts or equivalent, proven work experience as a Stores Clerk or a similar role in the Accounting or Procurement department, Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills and a clean Class Four (4) Driver’s license will be an added advantage.
