Customer Service Supervisor at MSU Retail Shop

Duties and Responsibilities

-Monitor the effective implementation of daily front-end processes to ensure smooth transaction processing at all times.
-Record and inform the immediate superior of price/product changes and non-scanning items.
-Monitor all Till Operators, ensuring adherence to rules and procedures.
-Control Front End Supervisor float and maintain change requirements.
-Ensure Front End consumables are always available.
-Prepare a staff planner to ensure sufficient Till Operators are available to handle queues.
-Design and implement queue management techniques for speedy customer service.
-Monitor Till Operators' performance and implement mechanisms to ensure adherence to set targets.
-Regularly engage with customers to obtain feedback on service speed, product range, mix, and quality.
-Ensure Till Operators are aware of promotions and encourage upselling and cross-selling of products.
-Process returns courteously under the guidance of the Assistant Shop Manager.
-Monitor safety standards, managing workplace hazards and promptly reporting incidents.
-Ensure items left by customers are returned to the correct department promptly.
-Ensure used trolleys and baskets are returned to their stations throughout the day.
-Ensure strict adherence to regulatory requirements, such as the correct exchange rate and no illegal forex trading.
-Ensure all departmental staff have job descriptions and undergo scheduled training.
