Job Description A leading haulage truck company is urgently seeking experienced Class 2 Cross-Border Truck Drivers to join its transport operations. The successful candidates must have substantial cross-border driving experience and should have previously travelled on routes covering DRC, Mozambique, South Africa (RSA) and Zambia.
IMPORTANT REQUIREMENT: Candidates must have proven cross-border driving experience to DRC, Mozambique, RSA and Zambia.
Duties and Responsibilities
-Safely operate company trucks on local and international routes. -Transport goods and cargo to designated destinations. -Undertake cross-border trips to DRC, Mozambique, South Africa and Zambia. -Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. -Ensure vehicles are roadworthy before departure. -Follow all road traffic laws and company safety procedures. -Safely load, secure and transport cargo. -Maintain accurate trip, delivery and vehicle documentation. -Complete border-crossing and customs-related procedures as required. -Communicate effectively with transport coordinators and management. -Report mechanical problems, accidents, delays or other incidents promptly. -Ensure cargo is delivered safely and within agreed timelines. -Maintain the cleanliness and general condition of the assigned vehicle. -Demonstrate professional conduct when dealing with clients, border officials and other stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience
-Valid Class 2 Driver's Licence. -Proven experience as a professional truck driver. -Cross-border driving experience is essential. -Must have travelled to DRC, Mozambique, RSA and Zambia. -Experience in the automotive/haulage industry is a must. -Good knowledge of regional road networks and cross-border routes. -Knowledge of border and customs procedures is an advantage. -Good understanding of vehicle safety and basic vehicle checks. -Clean and responsible driving record. -Ability to work long-distance and extended cross-border routes. -Physically fit and able to work flexible schedules. -Reliable, disciplined and safety-conscious.
