Companion Care Worker

Our clients are lovely individuals seeking care in the a Burnaby Area. After experiences of trauma such as motor vehicle accidents, complex medical diagnoses, or mental health, they are looking for support with:

Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s).
Engaging and ensuring client’s safety at home or in the community while doing fun activities or hobbies.
Other care tasks include: organization, meal preparation, transportation, emotional support, light housekeeping, and other daily tasks.

You would be the ideal candidate to work with us if you are someone who is reliable, organized, and can work independently. Care is tailored to each person, so each position is unique. Some clients need mainly in-home support. Others require support participating in community activities. Whatever the circumstances, we want people who will genuinely care about their wellbeing.

Duties and Responsibilities

Hours:

Flexible and client dependent scheduling options are available

Once a schedule is agreed upon between the caregiver and the client, our team requests and expects this schedule to remain consistent.

Rate of Pay:

$23-$28/hour

Qualifications and Experience

Requirements:

Valid Standard First Aid and CPR C
Smartphone with a data plan
Vulnerable Sector Check completed within the last 12 months
Driver's License "G" class with access to a vehicle

Assets:

Experience working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
University and/or College education in a related field
