Position Summary:
The Collaboration, Learning and Adapting (CLA) Lead will support the Amalima Loko Resilience Food Security Activity (RFSA) in Zimbabwe. The position is based in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. The CLA Lead will work closely with all Amalima Loko staff, including the food security, nutrition, resilience, social behavior change, and monitoring and evaluation teams to ensure collaboration and adaptive learning with the program and with other stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities

-Ensure the program includes active, intentional, and adaptive learning within and across the project's multisectoral interventions.
-Provide technical support and in some cases leadership to diverse learning and research activities across the program.
-Have a critical role in incorporating refinement activities and learning into implementation.
-Improve peer-to-peer learning, knowledge sharing and application, activity-based capacity strengthening, and evidence and data utilization in support of adaptive management both within and beyond initial refinement.
-Work with external stakeholders including host country government, international donors, multilateral organizations, and the private sector.
-Develop and implement a CLA Capacity Building Plan.
-Ensure appropriate and continued coordination and joint-planning with other USAID and other donor activities (specifically the USAID food security and resilience portfolio), host-government initiatives, and private sector engagement.
-Implement diverse and adaptive knowledge sharing activities within and outside of the project.
-Provide strategic leadership of collaborating, learning, and adaptation efforts.

Qualifications and Experience

-Master's or PhD degree in related field highly preferred plus a minimum of (3) three years relevant work experience; or
-Bachelor's degree and a minimum of five (5) years relevant experience is required.
-Professional experience to include qualitative and quantitative research and assessments, report writing and presentations, M&E systems development and implementation, and facilitation of knowledge sharing workshops or events.
-A minimum of three (3) years of experience in the integration of CLA into field programming is required, experience conducting such programming in Zimbabwe or similar country context is strongly preferred.
-Experience collaborating with a variety of external stakeholders including the host country government, international donors, and private sector.
-Experience developing and applying resources to create, capture, organize, and share knowledge across technical sectors, multiple donors, private investors, and within project activities and staff.
-Demonstrated knowledge of agriculture, livelihoods, resilience and/or food security programming preferred.
-Demonstrated experience in establishing and managing dynamic feedback systems to capture experiential learning and unintended consequences.
-Experience with international donor projects, especially USAID and Food for Peace, preferred.
-Strong English language skills required, knowledge of languages spoken in Matabeleland North preferred but not required.
