The Zimbabwe Red Cross Society is looking for a qualified and experienced individual for the position of Chief Training Coordinator to lead the Training department, responsible for conducting various First Aid Courses and related activities. The Chief Training Coordinator will report to the Operations Director.
-Design Training Curricula for First Aid/Home Nursing and Training of Trainers (Instructors) courses.
-Develop relevant, value-adding training material aligned with the Zimbabwe Red Cross Society.
-Evaluate training policy guidelines to ensure alignment with training needs/curricula.
-Analyze feedback and amend training programs as required.
-Design training manuals for internal documented procedures.
-Develop teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference works.
-Ensure that interventions are aligned with e-learning/online initiatives.
-Ensure training objectives are met.
-Participate in the development and coordinate the implementation of the training policy of the Zimbabwe Red Cross Society.
-Conduct training needs assessments.
-Moderate training interventions and assessments for formal programs.
-Maintain a disciplined workforce by administering the code of conduct.
-Facilitate initial First Aid Training for new employees.
-Monitor and report on training projects and the enhancement of training initiatives.
-Assist and prepare facilitators and assessors with all online-related activities when developing programs.
-Perform tasks associated with administrative and reporting duties.
-Consolidate training plans and budgets for the ZRCS.
-Manage both physical and electronic training records.
-Conduct theory and practical assessments following assessment guidelines.
-Ensure the issuance of relevant certifications.
-Conduct First Aid Competitions.
-Design and distribute annual training programs to mines, private companies, and provinces.
-Facilitate the setting up of an examination board.
-Design research proposals and research training-related problems/issues.
-Develop and disseminate information that promotes and informs the public about courses offered by the Zimbabwe Red Cross Society, as well as services available at the National Training Centre (e.g., catering, conference, boarding, etc.).
-Perform any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
-Diploma in Training Management, Adult Education.
-Degree in Business Studies, Administration, Marketing, or equivalent.
-Masters in Business Administration/Strategic/Business Leadership (preferred).
-Membership of a recognized professional institution.
Other Attributes:
-5 years of experience at the managerial level, of which 3 years should be health-related training management.
-Supervisory and administrative skills, excellent communication skills, and a team player.
-Valid Driver's License.
