job Description

CBZ Holdings Limited is actively seeking an accomplished Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to join their dynamic team. This pivotal role involves conceptualizing, constructing, and executing the technology, digitalization, and innovation roadmap for the CBZ Group, specifically tailored to drive business growth in identified markets.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Strategy and Roadmap:
Develop IT strategies addressing the Group's digitalization needs.
Lead the development, maintenance, and enhancement of the Group's digital products, expanding into new markets.
Formulate and implement resilient IT Architecture principles aligned with international standards.
Guide Executive Management in prioritizing development initiatives for optimal IT investment returns.
Oversee IT budget preparation and tracking for resource deployment.

2. Innovation:
Identify and leverage emerging technologies (blockchain, AI, robotic process automation, data analytics) to enhance the group's products, services, and operations.
Drive initiatives promoting the use of cutting-edge technologies across the Group to enhance user and customer experience.
Foster an environment and support structures for digital ideation and creativity.
Establish strong partnerships to promote the Group's digital channels.

3. Solutions:
Lead automation solutions for various processes across the Group.
Develop dashboards for business performance tracking and monitoring.
Ensure optimal redundancy inbuilt into all IT core systems.
Manage vendor relations for timely implementation of third-party solutions.
Conduct research on new technologies and solutions.

4. Security, Governance, and Controls:
Drive the embedment of IT security and governance standards for all systems, products, and services.
Ensure disaster recovery for all IT systems.
Implement key standards to align with local and international requirements.
Oversee the development and implementation of technologies countering cyber threats.
Establish and enforce policies protecting the Group's information and IT assets.
Ensure compliance with relevant banking regulations, data privacy laws, and financial security standards.

5. Cost Management:
Provide input towards determining capital investment parameters, priorities, and risks for enterprise-wide IT initiatives.
Optimize computing resource utilization through exploiting synergies within the Group.

6. Management:
Foster team commitment to a shared vision of delivering excellent customer service.
Set performance goals, manage, and monitor staff performance.
Motivate team members to consistently improve performance and productivity.
Ensure the development of IT staff skills and capabilities to meet business requirements.
Develop a succession plan and continuity for critical IT roles.

7. Infrastructure Management:
Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the group's IT infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications and Experience

-Master's Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, or Computer Science.
-Industry Certifications in ITIL, PMP, CISSP, COBIT, or similar.
-At least 5 years of experience leading a team of IT professionals in the financial services sector (Banking, Insurance, Fintech, or similar), with a minimum of 2 years in a C-Suite role.
