Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the following post:
QUALITY ASSURANCE AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Post : Chief Technician
The incumbent will assist the Directorate in managing the master data set, developing reports and troubleshooting data issues.
The person’s job description and responsibilities include, but not be limited to:
-Developing, implementing and maintaining Quality Assurance and Professional Development databases
-Developing and implementing data analysis, data collection systems and other strategies that optimise statistical efficiency and quality.
-Collecting data from primary or secondary data sources e.g. Student-lecturer evaluation, Peer lecturer evaluation, training evaluations etc.
-Helping to identify, analyse, interpret data, analyse results using statistical techniques and compile comprehensive reports.
-Assisting in preparing qualitative reports for executive and other decision markers.
-Providing technical expertise in data storage structures, data mining and data cleansing and data security.
-Assist in planning and conducting relevant ICT skills training including e-learning support.
-Supporting initiatives for data integrity and normalisation.
-Collate online data as required.
-Evaluate e-learning content from vendors to ensure it is compatible with the LMS.
-Use LMS reporting capabilities and developing custom reports to assist with planning of professional development workshops for lecturers and support staff.
-Assisting in carrying out regular ICT infrastructure and e-learning system audits.
-Provide advice and recommendations on high quality suite of e-learning materials to suit online and blended learning methodologies.
-Participate in committee associated with teaching and learning of ICT related.

-Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Data Science.
-A Master’s Degree in any of the above is a must.
-Minimum of 2 years’ working experience in the related field.
