About the job Our client, with quarrying operations in Zimbabwe, is looking for an experienced person to join their team and handle all operations. This position is extremely "hands on" and the successful person would report directly to the board and will be responsible for the following:
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage and supervise all aspects of quarry operations, including drilling, blasting, extraction and crushing. Manage processing plant operations. Manage workshop operations. Develop, implement and supervise strategies and quarry development projects to optimize quarry productivity. Ensure Health and Safety compliance. Maintain an accurate asset register and equipment maintenance plan and schedule. Recruit, train, supervise and support quarry and administration staff. Keep abreast with industry trends and technology development.
Qualifications and Experience
Requirements
Degree or equivalent in a mining or related field. Minimum of 10 years' experience within the mining industry. Preference will be given to candidates with at least 5 years of general management experience. A blasting license would be an added benefit. Excellent interpersonal, communication and reporting skills.
