JOB DESCRIPTION Position: Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Organization: Sinohydro Zimbabwe Reporting Line: Managing Director / Regional Finance Director Location: Zimbabwe Position Summary The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for providing strategic financial leadership and oversight for Sinohydro Zimbabwe’s operations. The role ensures sound financial management, regulatory compliance, effective risk control, and sustainable financial performance across large-scale infrastructure and engineering projects.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with corporate objectives - Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting - Manage project finance, cash flow, and capital allocation - Establish internal controls and risk management frameworks - Ensure compliance with Zimbabwean tax and statutory regulations - Liaise with banks, auditors, regulators, and partners - Lead and develop the finance team and ensure skills transfer
Qualifications and Experience
Required Qualifications - Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or Risk Management - Professional finance or accounting certification is an added advantage Required Experience - 5–10 years’ experience in senior finance roles - Experience in infrastructure, construction, or engineering sectors - Proven multinational or cross-border finance experience
