Duties and Responsibilities

University Service and Community engagement – the incumbent should participate in all Department, Faculty/School and University activities such as attending meetings, training workshops, conferences and seminars, among others. Research – the incumbent is expected to engage in active research in his/her area of specialisation, which benefits both the students and the University. Innovations – leading to tangible products and services Industrialisation –through the commercialisation of products The successful candidate must be capable of teaching modules in Chemistry, Nanotechnology, Thermodynamics principles, and related modules. The candidate should also be capable of assisting undergraduate students and assessing students on Work Related Learning.

Qualifications and Experience
-A first degree in Applied Chemistry or a related field with at least a 2.1 pass -A relevant MSc degree -A relevant PhD will be an added advantage for Lecturer -Experience as a Lecturer/Tutor/Researcher at an institution of Higher Learning will be an added advantage. -Evidence of research output in peer-reviewed journals will be an added advantage.
