The Artificial Intelligence (AI) Officer will be responsible for designing, developing and deploying machine learning models and intelligent systems that drive innovation and solve real-wold problems. Working closely with scientists, researchers, software engineers, the AI Officer will ensure that AI prototypes are transformed into production-grade solutions that support the Centre’s mandate in education, health, energy, agriculture and smart systems.
Duties and Responsibilities
-Model development and optimization. -ML Infrastructure and Deployment. -Cross-disciplinary collaboration. -Research and Innovation -Capacity Building for junior staff, students, and interns on machine learning techniques and best practices.
Qualifications and Experience
-Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field. -At least two (2) years experience in a data science or applied analytics role. -Proficiency in Python, R, or SQL. -Experience with machine learning libraries such as Scikit-learn, Tensor Flow, PyTorch. -Solid understanding of statistics, probability, and linear algebra.
