CAMPUS RADIO MARKETING OFFICER (1 POST) AT ZOU

Duties and Responsibilities

Designing, delivering, and executing marketing strategies;Developing the Campus Radio brand and communicating the same to audiences and educational programme sponsors;Developing programme sponsorship accounts for the radio station to sustain operations;Producing advertising briefs, packages, and sourcing sponsorships;Developing and maintaining relationships with corporate, advertising, and public relations departments of client organisations;Partnering with client organisations for funding and sponsorship of educational programmes;Writing copy and creating content for social media channels to engage both.the audience and programme sponsors;Producing calendars of events and maintaining a customer database from the market;Teaching Media and Journalism students to design, produce and market advertising copy. Assisting in evaluating, interpreting, and implementing results from external customer surveys as well as internal stakeholder’s findings aimed at enhancing the revenue generation capacity of the University.Benchmarking the campus radio’s performance against peers in the open learning and distance-teaching arena in the region and abroad.Crafting, implementing, and monitoring marketing strategies that enhance and positively transform both the image and self-sustenance capacity of the campus radio to outstanding levels.

Qualifications and Experience

A first degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or Media and Society Studies with components in Marketing Communications, Advertising, and Public RelationsAt least two (2) years of post-qualification experience in a broadcasting environment is required.
