Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities -Install, commission and maintain industrial automation and control systems. -Program, configure and troubleshoot PLC and HMI systems. -Maintain sensors, actuators, VFDs, control panels and related equipment. -Support automation systems for crushing, screening, conveying and mineral-processing equipment. -Diagnose and resolve automation, instrumentation and control-system faults. -Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance. -Assist with commissioning and integration of new mining and processing machinery. -Monitor equipment performance and improve system reliability. -Interpret electrical schematics, control diagrams and technical manuals. -Work with mechanical and electrical teams to resolve integrated equipment faults. -Prepare technical reports and maintenance documentation. -Train and provide technical guidance to local technicians.
Qualifications and Experience
-Bachelor’s Degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Control Engineering or a related discipline. -Practical experience with PLC and HMI systems. -Knowledge of VFDs, sensors, actuators and industrial control systems. -Experience in machinery installation, commissioning and troubleshooting. -Mining, mineral-processing or heavy industrial experience will be an advantage.
