AUTOMATION AND ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

Duties and Responsibilities

• Installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and automation equipment
• Monitoring and maintenance of PLC systems, motors, drives, and control panels
• Conducting preventative and corrective maintenance on mining and processing plant equipment
• Ensuring compliance with electrical safety standards and mining regulations
• Diagnosing electrical faults and minimizing equipment downtime
• Supervising electrical projects and technical teams when required
• Preparing maintenance reports and technical documentation
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the plant operations

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related field
• Proven experience in industrial electrical and automation systems
• Knowledge of PLC programming and industrial control systems
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
• Experience in mining or heavy industrial operations is an added advantage
• Ability to work under pressure and meet operational targets
• Good communication and teamwork skills
