VACANCY: Assistant Videographer / Photographer Reporting To: Digital & CSR Specialist Department: Marketing Organisation: Simbisa Brands (Franchising)
Main Purpose Simbisa Brands is looking for an energetic and creative Assistant Videographer/Photographer to support the creative team in producing high-quality visual content that showcases the brand, products, and customer experience. This is an entry-level role perfect for someone who’s genuinely passionate about food photography, videography, and storytelling within a fast-paced Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities; Content Creation; -Assist in shooting and editing videos for marketing campaigns, social media, and internal communications. -Capture product photography (menus, items, promotions, packaging) with attention to detail and brand guidelines. -Support in creating behind-the-scenes and lifestyle content that highlights the company’s culture and customer experience.
Production Support; -Set up lighting, cameras, and other equipment during shoots. -Organize and maintain photography/videography gear. -Assist senior videographers/photographers with creative direction and execution.
Post-Production -Edit videos and photos using industry-standard software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom, or similar). -Ensure all content aligns with brand standards and is optimized for digital platforms.
Collaboration & Administration -Work closely with the marketing team to deliver content for campaigns and promotions. -Maintain an organized archive of photo and video assets. -Support in brainstorming creative ideas for new content formats.
Qualifications and Experience
Competencies; -Strong photography and videography skills. -Proficiency in editing software (Adobe Creative Suite or similar). -Strong eye for detail, composition, and storytelling. -Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. -Team player with solid communication skills. -Passion for food, branding, and digital media. -Media-related Film Production qualifications are an advantage. -Animation skills are an added advantage.
Requirements -Own camera is a must. Additional gear like lighting is an advantage but not strictly required. -Traceable references or a portfolio showcasing photography and videography work.
