Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the vacant position that has arisen in the Human Resource Management and Administration Department at the Women’s University in Africa

Reports to the Payroll Administrator.

Duties and Responsibilities

Capture and input accurately payroll data, ensuring precision and attention to detail;
Update employee records and maintain accuracy and completeness;
Verify registration of new employees with relevant pension houses, such as NSSA;
Print journals and validate the integrity of the data entries;
Interpret awards, agreements, contracts, and court determinations to ensure proper payment calculations;
Compile month-end payroll journals and generate relevant payroll reports;
Safeguard payroll backups and stay informed about legislative changes impacting remuneration;
Promptly address payroll inquiries and provide assistance to stakeholders in liaison with the Payroll Administrator;
Collaborate closely with the Payroll Administrator to maintain effective payroll processes;
Assisting the Payroll Administrator in investigating and resolving payroll discrepancies and;
Performing any other duties assigned by the Payroll Administrator.

Qualifications and Experience

Diploma in Payroll Administration from a reputable examination board;
Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent, from a recognised University is an added advantage;
Five (5) Ordinary Level passes including English Language and Mathematics;
Familiarity with Pay Day Payroll System is an added advantage;
