Duties and Responsibilities

-Spread dropping cloths over floors and room furnishings, and covering surfaces, such as door frames, and windows with masking tape and paper to protect surfaces during painting
-Making on-site preparations such as erecting scaffolding or setting up ladders to perform tasks above ground level
-Preparing walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint etc.
-Filling cracks and holes with appropriate material
-Mixing paint and other materials to prepare the right colour or texture
-Painting surfaces according to instructions with various tools
-Applying varnish and other finishes
-Taking and adhering to all health and safety precautions
-Contributing to the success of the Central Services and Amenities Department by performing all other essential duties as assigned
