Duties and Responsibilities
Ensuring best practice techniques are employed in all construction activities on sites. • Confirming adherence to projects timelines, tracking progress and reporting on likely or actual delays. •Breaking the project schedule into weekly and monthly tasks for site teams Ensuring resources for each task are on site in time to prevent delays. • Safeguarding materials procured for the works to meet the quality standards prescribed. •Ensuring all process quality checks are carried out as per management plan and relevant Checklists are completed and filed.
Qualifications and Experience
Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent from a recognized University. • At least 2 years' experience in a Building and Civil Engineering environment and exposure to construction of buildings and civil works. COMPETENCE AND SKILLS • Accuracy with figures and mixes •Thorough knowledge of quality of building materials. • Effective communicator. • Ability to work under immense pressure to meet set deadlines. • Computer literacy skills in AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Excel and MS Project an advantage. • Membership of Zimbabwe Institution of Engineers.
