Position Overview
-Develop and implement Alumni Relations Strategic plan aligned with university annual plan.
-Provide strategic guidance to alumni executive, groups and chapters to unlock support for university, activities, projects and initiatives.
-Act as a key liaison person between the university and alumni .
-Create strong and positive connections.
-Develop and implement strategies to keep alumni informed about university activities, events and projects.
-Provide guidance to alumni chapters to facilitate their activities and smooth engagement.
-Create and manage communication platforms to alumni .
-Collaborate with fundraising teams to encourage alumni donations, scholarships, research and university development.
-Analyse alumni data and provide reports to university leadership on possible levels of engagement.
-Monitor alumni career developments and achievements for university visibility.

Qualifications and Experience

-Master of Science Degree in Marketing, Media, Communication, Journalism or any related field.
-Minimum of four (4) years working experience in Marketing, Media Communication or business.

Skills & Competencies
-Excellent written and communication skills.
-Strong interpersonal skills for donor and alumni relations.
-Knowledge of fundraising strategies and donor cultivation.
-Experience managing fundraising events and corporate partnerships.
-Good networking skills.
-Strong leadership and team management abilities.
-Proficiency in use of relevant computer applications.
-Crisis communication and media relations expertise.
-Strong digital, social media and marketing skills and techniques.
-Experience in video production, editing and podcasting will be added advantage.
-Highly organised and able to manage multiple campaigns at once.
