Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and implementation of research experiments
• Organise and carry out routine research trial management
• Assist in implementing and managing assigned projects from beginning to end
• Write weekly and monthly reports timeously
• Assisting in grower recruitment
• Collection of soil samples for soil analysis
• Assist in budgeting, distribution of inputs and parent seed program management
• Equipment calibration and timely land preparation & planting of seed crops
• Monitoring of seed planting ratios
• Providing agronomic support services to contracted growers
• Conducting inspections to manage pest and diseases in the seed crops
• Assist and monitor the detasseling process in seed maize
• Monitoring harvesting and seed deliveries to the factory
• Collection of seed samples for lab processes
• Monitoring seed storages at farms
• Performing other duties as assigned
