About International Business Connect At International Business Connect, we empower entrepreneurs, farmers, and agribusinesses through capacity building, practical training, and market integration. We are looking for a passionate, dynamic Agribusiness Trainer to lead practical and theoretical training modules across key livestock, aquaculture, and apiculture sectors.
Role Overview As an Agribusiness Trainer, you will design, deliver, and evaluate hands-on training programs aimed at smallholder farmers, commercial growers, and agricultural entrepreneurs. You will play a crucial role in improving modern farming practices, profitability, and sustainability across multiple agricultural value chains.
Duties and Responsibilities
Curriculum Design & Delivery: -Develop comprehensive training materials, practical manuals, and interactive workshops in modern agribusiness practices.
Specialized Training Modules: -Conduct field-based and classroom-style training in the following core areas: -Goat Farming: Breeding management, housing, nutrition, disease control, and commercial meat/dairy production. -Poultry Production: Broiler and layer management, biosecurity, feed formulation, and flock health.
Fish Farming (Aquaculture): -Pond/tank management, water quality control, stocking, feeding regimes, and harvesting techniques.
Rabbit Farming (Cuniculture): -Breeding, hutch design, dietary management, and commercial rabbit meat/pelt production. -Beekeeping (Apiculture): Hive management, colonization, honey extraction, wax processing, and pest control. -Farmer Mentorship: Provide ongoing advisory services, farm audits, and troubleshooting support to program participants. Agribusiness & Farm Economics: Educate trainees on farm record-keeping, budgeting, cost-benefit analysis, and market linkages. Program Evaluation: Track trainee progress, assess learning outcomes, and report on training impact.
Qualifications and Experience
Education: Diploma or Degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, Aquaculture, Agribusiness Management, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of [e.g., 3+ years] of practical experience in farm management and agricultural extension/training. Technical Expertise: Demonstrated hands-on experience in at least 3–4 of the specified core enterprises (Goat, Poultry, Fish, Rabbit, or Beekeeping). Communication Skills: Excellent public speaking, facilitation, and workshop presentation skills. Languages: Proficiency in English (knowledge of local language(s) is a strong advantage). Adaptability: Willingness to travel to field locations and conduct practical, hands-on demonstrations in farm environments.
