Bindura University of Science Education is hiring an Administrative Assistant – Examinations Office (2 Posts)
-To liaise with academic staff on all issues relating to examinations;
-To assist with timetabling examinations;
-To log requests for access arrangements, when requested by tutors, for the candidates with physical or learning disabilities;
-Receive and prepare all examination materials and despatch and scripts;
-To issue candidates results / certificates as presented by faculties;
-To assist the Exams Officer in providing regular training updates for invigilators to ensure regulation compliance;
-To plan invigilation cover for examinations on the exam timetable, contacting invigilators with allocations and informing the Exams Officer of any issues;
-Arranging exam venues;
-Assisting in preparing the budget for activities pertaining to examinations;
-Assisting in the facilitation and coordination of all invigilation processes which include invigilation workshops before examinations and preparing invigilation schedules and supervising invigilators at examinations centres;
-Ensuring that all examination Question Papers are submitted, moderated, edited, typed and printed within the stipulated dates for banking;
-Keeping updated records of all examinations and results;
-Crosschecking and editing errors or omissions in results, transcripts and certificates;
-Liaising with Faculty Administrators and/or Departmental Chairpersons on issues relating to examinations and results;
-Handling all students’ examination queries and appeals;
-Preparing quarterly and annual reports on examination activities;
-Implementing policies, rules and regulations on examinations; and
-Performing any other relevant duties assigned from time to time by the Senior Assistant Registrar, Examinations and the Examinations Officer.

-Applicants must have a recognized Bachelor’s degree in Sciences, Arts, Humanities, Commerce, Business or Social Sciences fields;
-Must have at least two (2) years of Administrative experience in an academic setting or equivalent;
-Applicants must be computer literate;
-Experience in a University set up would be an added advantage.
