ACCOUNTANT: SUPPORT SERVICES DEPARTMENT; CATERING SERVICES (1 POST)
The successful candidate must be able to:
Ensure that daily transactions of the accounts office are properly and accurately
carried out.
Ensure that all deadlines for production of financial information and monthly
management accounts are adhered to.
Prepare Adhoc accounting reports used in the decision making process by
management.
Follow up on local and foreign debtors for all units in liaison with Unit Accountants.
Reconcile and reporting on the Catering Services Section Outlets Cash Revenues
accounts- foreign currency, ZWL, mobile money transfers etc daily and monthly.
Responsible for Catering Services’ cash flow management reporting by ensuring that
bank accounts are not overdrawn and keeping senior management informed on the
status of bank accounts before purchases plans are finalized at section.
Ensure that all invoices are captured and that all creditors accounts are reconciled
before payment is effected.
Ensure that all accounting records are maintained and kept up to date.
Bsc/ HND IN Accounting, Finance or relevant field from a recognized institution.
5 ‘O’ Level Passes including English and Mathematics
At least two (2) years’ experience as Accountant, Assistant Accountant or Bookkeeper.
Familiarity with finance regulations
Hands-on experience with MS Excel and accounting software (e.g Quick books, Pastel
and Catering POS Software.
Organization skills.
Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.
Knowledgeable of accounting packages
