Job Purpose Cassava Smartech is looking for an Account Executive to join its Sales and Distribution Team. The main purpose of the position is to achieve set business revenue targets through the establishment and relationship management of the trade channel and to ensure growth in business volume & value and brand presence / visibility in all areas covered by Cassava Smartech products.
Qualifications and Experience • A Degree in Sales, Marketing or equivalent.
• A vocational or professional qualification in Sales will be an added advantage.
• 2-4 years’ experience in a similar or related environment.
• Possess excellent presentation and strong interpersonal skills.
• Leadership and Team Management skills.
• Possess good training skills
Key Result Areas • Extracts and formulates territorial sales plan from the Sales Manager’s plan
• Contributes to the demand forecast by analyzing territorial demand patterns
• Sets and agrees targets with each key account and coordinates activities of channel partners to attain set targets.
• Tracks sales performance for each key account -daily, weekly and monthly in line with the territorial target
• Carries out regular trade channel visits to track sales performance and manage customer queries.
• Identifies gaps to achieve set distribution benchmark
• Analyses key account performance per quarter as input for business review document
• Assesses product availability and ensure there are no stock-outs across the channels from Agent/Dealer to end user
• Scouts for potential channel partners to enhance distribution foot print.
• Extracts subscriber acquisition plan from the regional subscriber target.
• Trains channel partners on all new promotional offers both for consumer and channel
• Analyses level of in-store and outdoor brand visibility
• Scans and analyses the environment within the territory to detect competitor activities, customer preferences, subscriber behaviour and trends
• Resolves customer complaints and queries in line with customer service expectations
