Performs general accounting activities including maintenance and reconciliation off all accounting records (general, property, cost, etc.), designs and implements budgetary and other systems for internal control, and prepares financial reports for management and shareholders. Activities include preparing, recording, analyzing and reporting accounting transactions and ensuring the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles. Provides financial statistics, including long-term earnings forecasts for strategic planning. Directs the budgetary planning and reporting process. Develops and maintains reporting, planning and budgeting systems, the preparation of financial and management reports and procedures, and presents findings and recommendations to senior management.
