Zimbabwean Universities That Offers Monitoring & Evaluation Program Upto Masters



As a member of educational powerhouses, Zimbabwe has some universities that offer Monitoring and Evaluation programs from a certificate, degree and masters level. Monitoring and Evaluation practitioners are in demand now, especially in Non-Governmental Organisations.

Monitoring and Evaluation is a process that helps improve performance and achieve results. The aim of this program is to produce versatile graduates who understand both the theory and practice of monitoring and evaluation

Here is the list of the Tertiary Institutions that offer the M&E program

• Project Management Zimbabwe.  

Offers a Certificate in Project M & E (CM&E). The requirements are as follows: A minimum of 5 “O” levels with English Language, Adult learners above 30 years without 5 “O” levels but with experience in monitoring and evaluation experience and other qualifications may be admitted on a maturity entry basis if they apply to do the CM&E course. The course takes a minimum of six months to one year for one to complete

• The University of Zimbabwe.

Offers a Certificate. The certificate takes 6 months to complete. All applicants must have passed 5 O level subjects including English. No maturity entry.

• Lupane State University.

It offers a Bachelor of Social Science Special Honours Degree. The requirements are as follows: a recognized first degree from this or another recognized University. Preference will be accorded to applicants with work experience in M and E or a related field. This is studied on the duration period of at least one (1) academic year of full time, block or parallel modes of study.

• Midlands State Universities.

Candidates graduating with this qualification can work in a variety of social science environments primarily as M and E specialists. They can also work as Programme and Project Managers. Holders of this qualification are also resourced people in social science research as this program is inclined towards research specialization.
