Background

Insiza Godlwayo AIDS Council (IGAC) is implementing the Pathways OVC Project in Insiza and Lupane District in Matabeleland South and North Provinces. Pathways is funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) through Catholic Relief Services (CRS). The project is targeting the Orphaned and Vulnerable Children and their Care givers through streamlined individual based interventions premised on the project four domains in Healthy, Safe, Stable and Schooled. IGAC is looking for suitably qualified individuals to fill in the above-mentioned posts.

Position Summary

Primarily responsible for the Health domain data collection, verification, triangulation, analysis, storage, ensuring data quality and reporting in-line with the Donor expectations and organization Monitoring and evaluation framework. Support the district to improve Health data management and usage for decision making in consultation with relevant clinical partners, Ministry of Health and Child Care, NAC and the department of Social Development.

Objectives

Assist in monitoring project implementation in-line with the Monitoring and Evaluation Plan; Lead weekly data feedback to the project management team; Capacity building of community based cadres on Monitoring and Evaluation tools ensuring data quality dimensions are adhered to; Provide guidance in monitoring and reporting of project Health activities, referral tracking and linkages, adherence, viral load monitoring and any other data management process undertaken by the program and Health facilities; Develop data collection and analysis tools for the project; Field test M & E tools with project staff, Health facilities and community based cadres with close coordination with Health Officer and MEAL Manager; Assist in identification, documentation and sharing of lessons learnt, most significant change stories and best practices; Ensure quality data is reported on and periodically review project Performance indicators, ensuring project implementation is track; Reporting: Compile reports on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis as required; Work with MEAL to ensure adequate supply of tools and quality reporting; Document best practices in form of case studies abstracts, video clips in addition to the routine monthly updates, quarterly and annual reports.

Qualifications

Degree/ Diploma in health related field e.g nursing, Development studies, clinical practice, Monitoring and Evaluation, Statistics or any other relevant area of study; At least 2 years working experience in Monitoring and Evaluation and reporting on Health HIV/AIDS with the Ministry of Health and Child Care; Experience in monitoring HIV/ AIDs projects; Experience using MS Office package (word, excel , power point) data analysis packages (SPSS, Database management, Access, knowledge of DHIS 2 will be an distinct advantage); Understanding and experience using Ministry of Health and Child Care data systems (DHIS 2 ART registers EPMS etc); Should be a team player and able to work with minimum supervision, effective communicator; Flexible to work weekend and after hours and be on call when ever need arise.
