The Incumbent will be responsible to the Systems Support Analyst Basic Function To carry out systems development, maintenance and administrative functions to ensure maximum performance of TelOne systems to minimize losses, thereby maximizing revenue.
•Ensures that business practices comply with key
statutory instruments that govern the financial and
operational space of the business in view of potential
risk issues from non –compliance.
•Conducts financial risk assessments and identify controls
in place to mitigate identified risks.
•Participates in all projects related to the implementation
of new products and projects by offering risk management
consultancy and advice to management.
•Develops an annual risk management work plan and
spearheading activities related to the plan and tracking
risk issues thereof.
•Arrange for the incorporation of externals or subject
experts to address/share on key financial risk
management issues when necessary.
•Attends to Regional Risk Management Committees in
close liaison with Regional Secretaries and RBUHs.
•Identifies financial threats and opportunities and make
recommendations for implementation of risk mitigatory
measures, in close liaison with the risk owners.
•Prepares timely risk management reports for executive
management.
•Complete all related tasks as and when required.
Qualifications and Experience
•Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Finance, Risk
Management & Insurance or Financial Engineering or
Financial Mathematics.
•At least 3 years’ proven experience working in a Risk
Management or Finance environment.
•Appropriate professional certification in Risk
Management e.g. CFA, Global Association of Risk
Professionals (GARP), Institute of Risk Management SA/
UK, Certified Investment Managers Analyst.
Competencies
•Strong business acumen, management and analytical
skills.
•Good understanding and awareness of risk management
trends.
•Ability to think strategically and translate insights into
action.
•Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and manage
multiple priorities.
•Clean class 4 driver’s license.
•Strong computing and analytical skills.
