1. Background


A faith-based organization seeks the services of a student attaché to support programme development 

and related work. The organization conducts nation-building, humanitarian and development 

interventions to address the various challenges in the country. Over the past 10 years, the organization 

has implemented programmes covering areas of social cohesion and inclusion, economic justice and 

youth empowerment, good governance, active citizenship, humanitarian and development services. 

The organisation seeks to expand these programmes and develop new ones considering the 

developmental needs of the country. 


2. Objective


The objective is for the Intern to support the Research, innovation and Program Development 

department.


3. Duties and Responsibilities


a. Support the organization’s research processes.

b. Assist in the program development and proposal writing processes of the 

organisation.

c. To assist the coordination of the regular production and submission of new fundable 

ideas by technical persons in the field.

d. Report on and prepare presentation materials for assigned projects.

e. Effectively contribute and thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented work environment

f. Coordination and communication on interdepartmental tasks and processes.

g. Support socio-economic and political context research and critical analysis processes 

that informs programme development


4. Competencies and Educational Qualifications


a. Positive attitude, good team player, flexible mind, comfortable working in a dynamic 

organization.

b. Strong time-management skills and excellent ability to adhere to tight deadlines.

c. Demonstrated ability to work proactively, independently, and in a small team.

d. Well-organized and sound judgment.

e. Minimum of a university degree in development, business, international studies,
