Galaway Management Services has been retained by one of its clients – a manufacturing company to recruit
and select a suitable candidate for the position of a STORESPERSON.
Receives tools, components and materials from customers and suppliers.
Kits and issues tools, components and materials to the Shop Floor as specified by
the Job Card in a timely manner to meet manufacturing schedules.
Checks inwards documentation, goods and accepts all deliveries to stock.
Ensures all received stock is undamaged and that everything ordered is present
and accounted for.
Ensures all tools are returned, recorded and placed correctly in the Tool Stores
when production is complete.
Ensures that the supervisor informed of low stock and other shortages which may
Ensures all products are suitably packaged and that delivery service used is
adequate to meet customer requirements.
Maintains a safe working environment within the Stores areas and all current
Health and Safety legislation is observed. Including basic “house-keeping”.
Delivers and collects products and material as required.
Performs any other duties that may be deemed necessary to ensure the effective
running of the Department and Company.
Liaises with production staff, maintenance staff and logistics staff to ensure the smooth running of the shift.
Qualifications & Experience
A Diploma in Purchasing and Supply Management, Logistics, Warehouse
Management or equivalent.
A minimum of 3 years’ relevant working experience.
Good team worker.
Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels of the business.
Logical reasoning, with a “can do attitude”.
Good organizational skills.
